Lina Grotelueschen Hillen was
beset by tragedy during her life. She
had to face the loss of her mother as a
young girl. She had to face much hard
work as she and her husband began
life in the United States. Lina had to
deal with the illness of her husband,
his premature death, and the early
death of one of her children. Lina was
able to accept the good as well as the
bad in her life because of her strong
faith and her easy going nature. This
is the legacy she passed on to her chil-
dren and to the succeeding genera-
tions that follow after her. Lina passed
away on November 20, 1925, and is
buried at Creston Pioneer Cemetery,
rural Leigh, Nebraska.
